Several months ago, we featured a crazy, fun wedding flash mob proposal from Arsh. He worked with a professional dance team and in the Chandigarh mall, danced to Bruno Mars' Marry You. And he proposed to lovely Balraj.

She said yes of course!

And today, we are super duper excited to feature their wedding! And I totally love the energy level and happiness in the wedding.

Even though we don't normally feature honeymoon photos, Arsh is an amateur photographer and we couldn't resist including a few extraordinary photos from their honeymoon in Malaysia. What a fantastic shot of the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur.

Tell us about the wedding
It was a traditional Sikh wedding with a ‘Royal Punjab’ theme. I love vivid, heavy worked Indian clothes. We chose red, pink & wine shades for the dresses and the decoration. We mostly took inspiration from Pinterest and bookmarked our favorites to refer later on.
After the wedding proposal video went viral, a lot of people, even far off friends were excited for our wedding. We chose a venue in the beautiful city of Chandigarh which could accommodate a large gathering. It started off with a beautiful ceremony at the Gurudwara followed by the reception.

What was the hardest part about planning a wedding?
Indian weddings can be really overwhelming with so many rituals. My husband and I discovered new ones every other day. Buying multiple attires for various functions in a short period of time was challenging, but we did all the shopping together and made it fun. Planning so many functions back to back and paying attention to every detail was quite difficult. However, with the experience Arsh got from arranging the wedding proposal, we utilized all the contacts to pull off the wedding functions smoothly.

What was your favorite part about the wedding?
After witnessing many Indian weddings and after talking to our friends, we learned of a common problem amongst them. Most couples said, “We were so busy managing everything that we did not get to enjoy the food or the wedding at all.” So we made a pact before the wedding that we will have fun and try to be in that moment as much as possible. We took the time to settle down and enjoyed talking to each other during the ceremonies. We also made sure that we were enjoying the music, the guests company and the food in between the photo shoots. It was wonderful!

What advice do you have for brides-to-be?
Stay organized, stay in the moment, soak it all in during ceremonies and most importantly have fun.
